A show kitchen for a lovely local family that had been quietly collecting chaos for years. And honestly, this is something I see all the time in local family homes here in the UAE. The show kitchen looks beautiful from the outside, but open the cupboards and it tells a completely different story. Tea and coffee sharing shelf space with bakhoor and cleaning products. Cake stands in six different spots. Gadgets that hadn’t seen daylight in years. Baking tins scattered across pretty much every cupboard going. Completely normal for me, but not exactly ideal for the family trying to find the teabags at 7am.

Eight hours later? Every single cupboard and drawer had been emptied, decluttered, categorised, cleaned and reorganised. Food near the cooker. Baking tins above the oven. Dedicated drawers for cutlery, serving, baking and cooking. Tea, coffee, honey and an honestly impressive amount of turmeric all in one spot. Every cupboard door and shelf labelled so the family and their staff could find anything in under five seconds.

This is what a properly organised kitchen feels like!
